I have featured a free PDF converter for the Office 2007 suite. But since there are still a lot of Office 2003 suite users, and Microsoft did not release any add-in or tools, I’ll be featuring a freeware to publish your documents, spreadsheets, and even your presentations into  PDF files.

Launched in February 2004, PrimoPDF is a free tool for high-quality PDF creation, comprising a user-friendly interface that enables printing to PDF from virtually any Windows application. This freeware which  may be downloaded from CNET’s Download.Com website is consistently ranked number 1 software by Download.Com under the Business & Productivity category.

Before installing the software, make sure you have Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 installed in your system. This may be downloaded form the Microsoft website.

Unlike the Office 2007 add-in, you publish your files to PDF by going to File>Print and selecting the PrimoPDF printer. If you need to edit something, edit the Office 2003 file and reprint it overwriting the existing PDF file.
